How the GOP elite lost ground to Donald J. Trump; A Cinderella story.

Mr. Trump’s unlikely campaign has become a seemingly unstoppable force, one that Republican lawmakers, donors and activists are only now fully confronting.  ‘This is absolutely a crisis for the party elite — and beyond the party elite, for elected officials, and for the way people have been raised as Republicans in the power structure for a generation,’ says Ari Fleischer, who served as press secretary for President George W. Bush. ‘If Donald Trump wins, he will change what it means to be a Republican.’

‘He gets it,.we’ve sold ourselves out.’  As the Republican party implodes; conservative leaders struggling to explain Mr. Trump’s appeal have largely seized on his unique qualities as a candidate: his larger-than-life persona, his ability to dominate the airwaves, his tough-sounding if unrealistic policy proposals. Others ascribe Mr. Trump’s rise to the xenophobia and racism of Americans angry over their declining power.

But the story is also one of a party elite that abandoned its most faithful voters, blue-collar white Americans, who faced economic pain and uncertainty over the past decade as the party’s donors, lawmakers and lobbyists prospered. From mobile home parks in Florida and factory towns in Michigan, to Virginia’s coal country, where as many as one in five adults live on Social Security disability payments, disenchanted Republican voters lost faith in the agenda of their party’s leaders.

‘They have to come to terms with what they created,’ says Laura Ingraham, a conservative activist and talk-radio host. ‘They’ll talk about everything except the fact that their policies are unpopular.’

Announcing his candidacy for presidency, Trump spins a tale of unfair trade deals hashed out by lobbyists, backscratchers and incompetent presidents who are stealing jobs from Americans. He’ll stop the flow of jobs over the border with Mexico, Mr. Trump promises, and build a wall to stop the flow of people. That message resonates with lower-income voters, and helps drive Mr. Trump’s string of successes.

But it has done little to convince Republican leaders that they need to rethink their approach or devise new proposals for blue-collar workers who are hurting.

As the party’s leading donors meet at the Ritz-Carlton in Miami Beach, there is plenty of spirited chatter about Mr. Trump, but less discussion of the voters who fueled his rise, and little about what could be done to assuage them.

They will Kill Trump – William J. Bennett.

They will kill him before they let him be president. It could be a Republican or a Democrat that instigates the shutting up of Trump. Don’t be surprised if Trump has an accident. Some people are getting very nervous: Barack Obama, Valerie Jarrett, Eric Holder, Hillary Clinton and Jon Corzine, to name just a few. It’s about the unholy dynamics between big government, big business, and big media.
They all benefit by the billions of dollars from this partnership, and it’s in all of their interests to protect one another. It’s one for all and all for one. It’s a heck of a filthy relationship that makes everyone filthy rich, everyone except the American people. We get ripped off. We’re the patsies. But for once, the powerful socialist cabal and the corrupt crony capitalists are scared.
The over-the-top reaction to Trump by politicians of both parties, the media, and the biggest corporations of America has been so swift and insanely angry that it suggests they are all threatened and frightened Donald Trump can self-fund. No matter how much they say to the contrary, the media, business, and political elite understand that Trump is no joke. He could actually win and upset their nice cozy apple cart.
It’s no coincidence that everyone has gotten together to destroy The Donald. It’s because most of the other politicians are part of the a good old boys club. They talk big, but they won’t change a thing. They are all beholden to big-money donors. They are all owned by lobbyists, unions, lawyers, gigantic environmental organizations, and multinational corporations – like Big Pharmacy or Big Oil. Or they are owned lock, stock, and barrel by foreigners like George Soros owns Obama or foreign governments own Hillary and their Clinton Foundation donations. These run-of-the-mill establishment politicians are all puppets owned by big money.
But there’s one man who isn’t beholden to anyone There’s one man who doesn’t need foreigners, or foreign governments, or George Soros, or the United Auto Workers, or the teacher’s union, or the Service Employees International Union, or the Bar Association to fund his campaign. Billionaire tycoon and maverick Donald Trump doesn’t need anyone’s help. That means he doesn’t care what the media says. He doesn’t care what the corporate elites think. That makes him very dangerous to the entrenched interests. That makes Trump a huge threat to those people. Trump can ruin everything for the bribed politicians and their spoiled slave masters.
Don’t you ever wonder why the GOP has never tried to impeach Obama? Don’t you wonder why John Boehner and Mitch McConnell talk a big game, but never actually try to stop Obama? Don’t you wonder why Congress holds the purse strings, yet has never tried to de-fund Obamacare or Obama’s clearly illegal executive action on amnesty for illegal aliens? Bizarre, right? It defies logic, right?
First, I’d guess many key Republicans are being bribed.
Secondly, I believe many key Republicans are being blackmailed. Whether they are having affairs, or secretly gay, or stealing taxpayer money, the National Security Agency knows everything. Ask former House Speaker Dennis Hastert about that. The government even knew he was withdrawing large sums of his own money from his own bank account. The NSA, the SEC, the IRS, and all the other three-letter government agencies are watching every Republican political leader. They surveil everything.
Thirdly, many Republicans are petrified of being called racists . . . so they are scared to ever criticize Obama or call out his crimes, let alone demand his impeachment.
Fourth , why rock the boat? After defeat or retirement, if you’re a good old boy, you’ve got a $5.000,000 ($5 million) per-year lobbying job waiting. The big-money interests have the system gamed. Win or lose, they win. But Trump doesn’t play by any of these rules. Trump breaks up this nice, cozy relationship between big government, big media, and big business. All the rules are out the window if Trump wins the Presidency. The other politicians will protect Obama and his aides but not Trump.
Remember: Trump is the guy who publicly questioned Obama’s birth certificate. He questioned Obama’s college records and how a mediocre student got into an Ivy League university. Now, he’s doing something no Republican has the chutzpah to do. He’s questioning our relationship with Mexico; he’s questioning why the border is wide open; he’s questioning why no wall has been built across the border; he’s questioning if allowing millions of illegal aliens into America is in our best interests; he’s questioning why so many illegal aliens commit violent crimes, yet are not deported; and he’s questioning why our trade deals with Mexico, Russia and China are so bad.
Trump has the audacity to ask out loud why American workers always get the short end of the stick. Good question!  I’m certain Trump will question what happened to the almost billion dollars given in a rigged no-bid contract to college friends of Michelle Obama at foreign companies to build the defective Obamacare website. By the way, that tab is now up to $5.000,000,000 ($5 billion). Trump will ask if Obamacare’s architects can be charged with fraud for selling it by lying. Trump will investigate Obama’s widespread IRS conspiracy, not to mention Obama’s college records. Trump will prosecute Clinton and Obama for fraud committed to cover up Benghazi before the election.
How about the fraud committed by employees of the Labor Department when they made up dramatic job numbers in the last jobs report before the 2012 election? Obama, the multinational corporations, and the media need to stop Trump. They recognize this could get out of control . If left unchecked, telling the raw truth and asking questions everyone else is afraid to ask, Trump could wake a sleeping giant. Trump’s election would be a nightmare. Obama has committed many crimes. No one else but Trump would dare to prosecute. He will not hesitate.
Once Trump gets in and gets a look at the cooked books and Obama’s records, the game is over. The gig is up. The goose is cooked. Holder could wind up in prison. Jarrett could wind up in prison. Obama bundler Corzine could wind up in prison for losing $1.5 billion of customer money. Clinton could wind up in jail for deleting 32,000 emails, or for accepting bribes from foreign governments while Secretary of State, or for misplacing $6 billion as the head of the State Department, or for lying about Benghazi. The entire upper level management of the IRS could wind up in prison. Obamacare will be defunded and dismantled.
And Obama himself could wind up ruined, his legacy in tatters. Trump will investigate. Trump will prosecute. Trump will go after everyone involved. That’s why the dogs of hell have been unleashed on Donald Trump. Yes, it’s become open season on Donald Trump. The left and the right are determined to attack his policies, harm his businesses, and, if possible, even keep him out of the coming debates. But they can’t silence him. And they sure can’t intimidate him. The more they try, the more the public will realize that he’s the one telling the truth.
• Given the highly unpopular opinion of Trump in some circles, combined with out recent lack of high-profile assassination attempts, we may soon be asking when, not if, the next political assassination will occur. We published an opinion as to whether Obama will have Trump killed (http://bit.ly/25xFJUk). Trump not only threatens the entire Marxist establishment, but has also been a strong proponent of digging deeper into the Obama birth certificate issue. Proving Obama to be ineligible to be president could be the quickest way to undo everything he ever did in office.

Saying Trump’s rise is alarming and dangerous, leaders of Clinton and Sanders backing organizations have agreed to set aside the protracted battle in the Democratic party to focus on the threat Donald J. Trump poses in the General Election on November 8th, 2016.

If the Republican Party nominates Donald Trump for president — and the odds are it will — there’s every reason to believe he has a serious shot at winning the general election.  We cannot afford to underestimate him until it’s too late, as many Republicans now regret having done during the primaries. If we wait to see how things shake out to make our plans, it’ll be too late and November will come sooner than anyone thinks.

We are calling for a massive nonviolent mobilization of working people, students, immigrants, children of immigrants, great-great-grandchildren of immigrants, people of color and white people, the unemployed and under-employed, people of faith, retirees, veterans, women, and men — anyone who opposes bigotry and hate and loves freedom and justice — to stand up to Trump’s bullying and bigotry.

Signatories of the letter include: Michael Brune, executive director of the Sierra Club; Ilyse Hogue, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America; Annie Leonard, executive director of Greenpeace USA; and May Boeve, executive director of 350 Action.

Dems backing Sanders and Clinton warn of massive Trump insurgency; not to make the same mistake as the Republicans; which can snatch victory to win the US Presidency; divert interparty squabbling t…

Donald J. Trump’s long Road into the American Psyche : promising the Freedom to be a Trump; your own agent; making, bending and shaping reality as you will.

Trump is promising freedom to move in the World the way just like he does, under his protection, according to one’s own laws (which comport with his).  The most die-hard Trump fanatics do not hate Sanders in the slightest (some daughters think Bernie is going to give them free college).
Why Trump? Rich says he’s tired of the way things are; he wants Change; ‘Trump’s the only one who’s saying what people are thinking.’
Cheers arise when Donald mentions Christmas, building a wall between the United States and Mexico, and the virtues of waterboarding. He appears to wish something worse than waterboarding would be invented; like terror suspects would be placed under Niagara Falls and ordered to catch it with their mouths. The terms and exhortations blend together, until you think, Well, hell. Why not build a wall out of water on Christmas?
I expected to feel Donald’s force-field,, but instead  I perceive him as being barely there — a vacuum into which winds of white privilege, masculinity, $$$, American exceptionalism and ambition are constantly rushing. Rather than being drawn toward a vortex of charisma, I find  myself floating away (Ground control, to Major Tom).
Diana Ross (no, that Diana Ross; You’ll never believe it.Wrong color, and I can’t sing.) has a ‘daughter why says she’s voting for Hillary. Hitlery, I call her Hitlery. Gathering her breath, she barely screams ‘The emails!’’ (in a this nails it, that’s all you need to know; the smoking gun; the straw that breaks the camel’s back; the piece-de’-resistance that topples the House of Cards; tone of voice).  ‘Did you hear about Marco Rubio maybe having a gay-thing in his younger days? They got a picture of him in a gay lake, you know, full of gay guys.”

* I suppress an urge to grip her hand and ask, Where is this gay lake, Diana Ross?  Why bother with things like facts when the narrative is so compelling (and believable)?
