" - Rainer Maria Rilke March 7th; 2010 Artists/husband-wife Alex & Alyson Grey "Grateful to be alive" after surviving accident; Alex & Alyson were nearly-Crippled by S.U.V. driver who crossed Center-line while driving in Vermont causing Alex/Alyson to crash off side of road. Story by: Akira Morikawa (late-breaking news) (below: Alex & Alyson's crumpled front-end after the accident when Alex & Alyson crashed into the side of the road swerving to avoid crashing head-on into a S.U.V. that had crossed the center-line & was coming head-on into their lane)Alex & Alyson "grateful to be Alive; say God sending a Sign & God's Spirit entering through their broken vertebrae."On March 7th; Artists & husband/wife; Alex & Alyson Grey of Cosm; who just finished touring 49 countries exhibiting their work; including a recent exhibition; below @ San Antonio Museum of Contemporary Art. Curator David S. Rubin talks about Alex's Journey of the Wounded Healer piece as part of the exhibit: Psychedelic: Optical & visionary art since the 60s) Alex & Alyson nearly hit a dark S.U.V. which crossed the center line into their lane while Alex & Alyson were driving driving in Vermont; the dark S.U.V. subsequently fled; & Alex/Alyson swerved & smashed their car into the side of the side of the road; both Alex & Alyson fractured their lower vertebrae & will be in braces for a year. Doctors predict a full recovery. (below: Alyson Grey)  (above: Alex Grey)Alex's burst vertebrae had a 50% intrusion into Alex's spinal-cord; & if the vertebrae was injured a little higher; Alex would be a paraplegic. Alex says that it is a sign that God wants them to pay attention & since broken bones heal stronger eventually; that is a sign that God is strengthening Alex & Alyson's backs for heavier loads in the future; & that the broken bones allow God's angels & mysterious essence to penetrate into Alex & Alyson.(Alyson, left; & Alex, right) Alex & Alyson ask in lieu of flowers or gifts that a donation be made to Cosm; their Art Sanctuary (Wappingers Fall, NY) open to the Public.
